Langley Prep School has earned a commendation in the prestigious Independent School of the Year Awards, in the category of Independent Prep School of the Year.
We are delighted to have been shortlisted. A panel of 19 judges selected the leading entries from a total of 650 submissions across the sector.
Independent Schools of the Year 2026 is the flagship awards scheme from Independent School Parent magazine, celebrating the very best of the independent sector and the standout experiences schools offer their pupils.
The awards are open to all independent schools that belong to an association within the Independent Schools Council or COBIS (Council of British International Schools).
Headmistress, Clare Rackham, reflects on the award:
“It is a moment of huge pride and celebration for Langley Prep to have been commended in the Independent Prep School of the Year category. Those of us involved in the day to day life of the school know exactly what makes Langley special; but it is so satisfying to know that such an experienced panel see it too. This is a wonderful end to my first year as Headmistress of Langley Prep. We have ambitious plans for 2026-7, and I have no doubt that further success will follow.”
From September, Clare will take on a larger role as Executive Head of Langley School, encompassing all stages of education, from our Bluebell Nurseries at Loddon and Taverham through to Sixth Form.
Clare’s key leaders at each school will be Ed Wood, Head of School, Langley Prep and Farrah Daniels, Head of School, Langley Senior and Sixth Form.
