23rd October 2024
The Langley U15 National Rugby Festival returned for 2024 and entertained everyone who entered Langley Park.
15 top-tier schools from across the country played the two-day festival, with many travelling from across the country to Langley Senior School in Loddon. The crowd of supporters weren’t deterred by the reception from some particularly autumnal weather.
On finals day, it was triumphant Wellington College who lifted the trophy again, having now won three times (2024, 2023 and 2021). It was a real pleasure to see such a high standard of rugby.
The 2024 festival village included a fully licensed bar, sweet and savoury treats, and superb band The Hot Crumbs, who took centre stage. Founded by a former Langley student, head injury monitoring company Dyamotech was there to talk about their potentially life-saving new equipment for schools, which Langley has already signed up to itself. Oddball merch was on sale and a premium programme was available, making it a year to remember.
