Tell us a little bit about yourself and your role at Langley.
I want to embed myself as much as I can in the day-to-day life at Langley. I joined the CCF Army section and run the shooting team at Bisley, I can run short-range rifle ranges, and I can teach weapon handling skills. I help run the DoE Bronze and Silver awards. This year we ran the CyberFirst for Girls competition – run by GCHQ. We also ran the BEBRAS computational thinking challenges – that led to our entering the Oxford University Computing Challenge. We are building a team to enter the VEX robotics competitions.
What do you enjoy most about your role at Langley?
I enjoy the enhanced role of a tutor – I am lucky enough to have the nicest bunch of tutees possible! I really enjoy programming and run programming clubs at lunch time.
Any hobbies/interests outside of school?
Recently started oil painting, I plan to complete a portrait of King Charles to present to the school. I also have a motor bike I spend far too much time tinkering with in the garage!
A fun fact about yourself.
I have jumped off a beach landing craft with the Royal Marines!
