Prep Teacher Wows in Theatre Classic

Our very own Mr Alex Green, Year 4 Form Tutor at Langley Prep School, took to the stage at Norwich’s Theatre Royal and was a sensation!

Alex played the leading role of Don Lockwood in the classic stage production ‘Singing in the Rain.’ Gene Kelly was the original Don in the 1952 film, and Alex followed faultlessly in his footsteps as he tap-danced in the rain.

The choreography and singing were fantastic, thanks to a very talented cast. The setting and costumes plunged the audience into the 1920s, when the story was set. With real rain featuring in the production, Alex danced his way through a superb performance that had the audience on their feet at the end.

“I had the time of my life!” Alex commented.

Alex was supported by a number of Langley staff, who watched the show and came back to school singing “Good Morning, Good Morning” the next day!

Shoutouts also go to superstars Emily Johnson and Will Mugford, former Langley staff, who dazzled on the stage with Alex. It was fantastic to see them performing all together.
