19th January 2026
For the second time, Langley Prep School is offering families the opportunity to peek behind the curtain by enrolling your child at Langley Prep School for a full school week. This is a wonderful opportunity to really experience what the school has to offer. We have run Open Days for many years, and we know they offer a fantastic glimpse into life at the school, but we were keen to be able to offer a deeper, more enriching and authentic experience.
During “Life at Langley” week, your child will have an unrivalled opportunity to get to know pupils who will become classmates and friends. They will have a chance to engage in all of the routines that make life at Langley such a beautiful childhood experience; playing outside in our fabulous woodland and adventure playground, taking part in arts and crafts, having a go at a new sport, and engaging in our co-curricular programme which aims to help children explore their talents and build interest in a range of areas, from robotics to music.
Your child will get to know the teachers and staff that will become a big part of their life, and you’ll have the opportunity to meet other parents and prospective parents, giving you an insight into the strong community that Langley offers.
If, following “Life at Langley” week, you’d like your Year 1-8 child to enrol at the school, you will receive 10% off full academic fees for the year beginning September 2026.
All we ask is that you come along to our Open Day on Monday, 2 February, to meet us, have a tour of the school, and complete the paperwork.
Please don’t wait: there are limited places available on this basis.
“Free Week was a wonderful way for our son to settle in and for us to see what a happy and nurturing environment Langley provides.”

Here, we answer some common questions we have received about Life at Langley Week:
Life at Langley Week will take place between 23-27 February, 2026
The team will go through all the details we need with you; this will include medical information such as allergies, details of any support needs your child has, and any other information that will help us get to know your child so that they have the best start possible.
No. We have already enrolled a number of children across multiple year groups following November’s “Life at Langley” week. Your child will not be the only one experiencing the “Life at Langley” opportunity.
We do our best to ensure children have the opportunity to experience our wonderful grounds for themselves, whatever the weather, so we would suggest that sensible outdoor shoes (and a pair of wellies!) would be wise. We will let you know in advance about activities such as swimming that might take place during the week so that you are properly prepared. We are firm believers that there is no such thing as bad weather (within reason of course), just unsuitable clothing!
Our pupils are known for being exceptionally friendly. We have no concerns about whether your child will fit in. Our wonderful staff and the kind community that is Langley will make sure of it! We ensure children have a “Buddy” during their time with us who will look after them, introduce them to new friends, and make sure they are having the best experience. There will be other children experiencing the “Life at Langley” week too.
No, no need to prepare a packed lunch. Your child will eat with pupils and staff in our dining hall, where they will enjoy a lovely hot lunch.
We will complete the paperwork necessary to inform your child’s school so that their non-attendance that week is not an issue. We are used to working with schools across the county on this basis, so please don’t worry.
Very occasionally we are unable to meet some support needs that children have. This is why we like to meet you at Open Day so that we can fully understand the situation and provide any guidance needed.
It’s really simple; just register for Open Day on 2 February, come along, and we will take care of the rest! Look forward to meeting you then.
