Hockey success for Langley School pupil

3rd July 2024

Luca S (Y8) has had a busy Trinity term progressing along his Hockey journey, as he recently represented the region at the UK Lions Hockey Tournament!

UK Lions Hockey was founded back in 2003 from the UK U13 Boys Regional Festival of Hockey Championships, where talented young players came together to compete against each other and to form lifelong friendships. Over the years a great many of the players selected to play for the UK Lions have gone on to represent their respective countries at junior and full international level.

In this latest tournament, Luca participated in series of ‘performance level’ fixtures representing the Anglian Eagles. After playing several games and having ‘the best time of his life’, he is looking forward to his next hockey adventure!

In May, Luca also received a shield for “Player of the Year” at the Harleston Magpies Hockey Club, which was presented by a member of the U21 England team.

Congratulations and keep up the hard work!
