Langley School hosts Norfolk School Games County Cross Country

It was wonderful to host the Norfolk Schools Cross Country event here at Langley Prep School this week and to welcome pupils from schools across the whole of Norfolk. The weather was clear and crisp as the runners came together to compete, and our grounds offered the perfect setting for each race.

We were proud to welcome pupils across the 8 school sports partnerships in Norfolk, with 640 competitors involved in the event!

Our pupils were busy throughout the morning, and a team of them were stationed to guide the competitors around the track.

The Norfolk School Games is part of a national government initiative designed to inspire children and young people to enjoy being physically active for life. They aim to put physical activity at the heart of schools and “provide all young people opportunities and experiences that can make a meaningful difference to their lives.” The event was supported by Athletics Norfolk and Langley Prep School.
