Langley School Pupil Achieves Gold in UKMT Challenge

We are thrilled to celebrate an outstanding achievement by one of our talented students, James C from Year 8 (Prep), who recently participated in the prestigious UKMT Intermediate Mathematical Challenge. James not only secured Gold but also earned the title of Best In School, highlighting his exceptional dedication to the subject.

The UKMT Intermediate Maths Challenge is a national competition that attracts some of the brightest young minds in the UK. This year, it saw participation from students across various year groups, including our own senior school pupils in Years 9 to 11. The competition is designed to foster mathematical reasoning, encourage precision of thought, and ensure fluency in problem-solving through a challenging 60-minute examination.

As a result of his exceptional performance, James has qualified for the next round of the competition, which will take place in March. This is a fantastic opportunity for him to further showcase his skills and compete at a higher level. We look forward to following his journey in the upcoming round.
