Langley School pupils celebrate their GCSE results

24th August 2023

There was plenty to celebrate at Langley today as our pupils received their GCSE results.

With 63% at Grades 9 – 5, and 83% at grades 9 – 4, pupils are now looking forward to taking the next steps on their educational journeys.

This year’s Year 11 cohort have worked exceptionally hard and we congratulate them all on the effort that went into their individual achievements.

There were a number of outstanding individual performances. Corlisa K achieved a clean sweep of 9 – 7 grades (A*- A), Evie P, Francesco R, George G, Oscar H, Charlie K and Cameron M received all grades at 9 – 6 (A*- B).

Headmaster, Jon Perriss commented: ‘ This cohort have shown remarkable resilience and perseverance over the past few years and are to be warmly congratulated for both their effort and the hugely positive outcomes they have achieved. Their hard work, and support from teachers and parents, have given them choices in the near and distant future and I look forward to seeing them continue to flourish. ‘

There were also strong grades within individual subjects. In Photography 75% of grades were at the top grades of 9 -7. Fine Art, Design and Technology, French and Spanish also saw strong results.

We wish all our pupils well as they move onto the Langley Sixth Form or paths beyond.
