Langley students are celebrating another fantastic set of A Level and BTEC results this morning.
With more than half of grades at A*-B, 72% at A*-C and a higher pass rate than 2022, our students have worked extremely hard and are starting exciting journeys beyond Langley. In BTEC, our results are equally pleasing, with 100% of students achieving Distinction* to Merit grades.
Headmaster Jon Perriss commented: “My warm congratulations to all Langley students for a fantastic set of results. These are the first public exams sat by this year group and having had their education disrupted by Covid; they have shown resilience and strength over the past few years and deserve huge credit. I am immensely grateful to the teaching and support staff for the important role that they have played, and to the parents for the support they have given their children and the school. I wish them well with the next chapter of their lives.”
There were further strong results across the range of courses, with 100% of grades at A*-A in Photography, Computer Studies, Philosophy, Sociology and French. Additionally, nine subject areas achieved 100% A* – C grades.
At Langley, our focus is on the individual, and our priority is getting our students onto their chosen pathways, whether that be into University, starting a career or apprenticeship or a gap year abroad.
Amongst these results were some terrific individual performances.
Rhys M received A* A* A* following on from his clean sweep of 9s at GCSE – and is going on to be part of the EasyJet Pilot training scheme. Charlotte B achieved A*A B in Religious Studies, English Lit and Art & Design and is heading off to Leeds University next year. Toby R received A*, A*, A, B grades in Politics, EPQ, Religious Studies and English Literature.
Our congratulations go to every student, and we wish our Leavers well as they begin their lives beyond Langley.
