A very successful weekend was had during the annual Model United Nations (ROYMUN) conference, hosted by Royal Hospital School in Ipswich, with some notable successes and impressive displays from our Langley delegates.
Students participated in the Security Council, Political, Environmental, Conservation, Human Rights and Harry Potter committees and enjoyed the debates around the current issues in the Middle East and in Central Africa, alongside the lighter-hearted topics of Dinosaurs and the treatment of Magical Creatures. A superb Diplomatic Dinner was provided the Friday night and delegates dressed up for the event .
Pictured below right, Will P (St Giles, Lower Sixth) won Best Delegate in the Conservation committee – his second award in a row this year – and Ottilie V (Mancroft, Lower Sixth), pictured below third from right, was given a Commended Delegate award.
Well done all and roll on the 24/25 season!
