School Welcomes International Immersion Group from China

This term, Langley School proudly opened its doors to an enthusiastic immersion group from China. During their visit, they celebrated the Lunar New Year with us and took part in a range of activities. This immersion programme is part of Langley’s commitment to fostering international connections and providing students with new educational experiences.

This experience was in collaboration with Bridges Education.

During their stay, the immersion group engaged in various classes, allowing them to experience the UK curriculum firsthand. The diverse interactions fostered a vibrant classroom atmosphere that benefitted both the visitors and our existing students. During their time here, they were supported by our English as an Additional Language (EAL) department which helped accelerate the ability of the pupils to participate in mainstream lessons and improve their English skills

The visiting pupils experienced life in the Langley boarding community, staying in our well-equipped boarding house that promotes a comfortable and supportive environment. With over 100+ spaces, our boarding house hosts students from across the world and is a welcoming environment for our immersion guests.

Alongside their academic activities, the group also participated in a series of extracurricular activities designed to showcase British culture and traditions. During the weekend, they enjoyed a variety of enriching trips.

Feedback from the visitors has been positive, highlighting not only the warmth of the Langley community but also the thrill of experiencing school in the UK. At the end of their stay, the students expressed their appreciation by presenting us with artwork which they had made.

Langley School looks forward to more such collaborations in the future, enriching the educational journeys of students from different backgrounds and creating a world of understanding through shared experiences. Langley continues to embrace international students and nurture a diverse community that celebrates different cultures and perspectives.
