As we reflect on the Michaelmas term, we are thrilled to highlight the exciting changes and initiatives that have been introduced under the guidance of our new Headmaster, Mr Simon Cooke.
His vision for our school emphasises a well-rounded education, personal development, and a vibrant school community.
Here are some of the key updates we discussed in Michaelmas:
Leiths CTH Level 3 Extended Certificate in Professional Cookery: This academic year, we began offering this esteemed programme to our Sixth Form students. This qualification not only enhances culinary skills but also prepares students for a variety of careers in the hospitality industry. Click here for more.
Equestrian Team: Our school officially launched an Equestrian team, catering to students with a passion for riding. This initiative encourages teamwork, and sportsmanship, and brings an exciting opportunity for students to engage in equestrian activities.
Fashion and Textiles in Year 9: This term, we opened the brand new Fashion and Textiles area and began classes with our Year 9 group. This empowers students to explore their creativity and acquire new skills in design and textile production.
Updated Promise Campaign: Our commitment to fostering a positive school environment is reflected in the newly updated Video Campaign ‘The Promise’. Click here to watch.
Special Rewards: In an effort to celebrate student achievements, we put Hot Chocolate back on the menu at our weekly Merit Awards! This fun initiative not only rewards positive behaviour but also encourages a sense of community and enjoyment among students.
We look forward to seeing our students thrive and take full advantage of these opportunities in the New Year. Here’s to a successful year ahead!
