High scores at House Music

The 2023 House Music competition was as fantastic as ever, with pupils showcasing superb talent in front of a delighted audience at Langley Park.

Due to the high standard of performances, the judges had a very tough time deciding on the winners. Well done to everyone who took to the stage, and special congratulations to Bella C (Year 8, St Giles), accompanied by Makaila S, who came first in the Junior solo, and Rosie A (Year 13, Mancroft) who won the Senior Solo.

St Giles were winners of the Ensemble, with Beauchamp taking the title for House Song. The overall winners were St Giles – well done!

Massive thanks to the comperes for leading everyone through the afternoon with humour and style; to the Heads of House for all their hard work; and to the judges, all of whom are Langley alumni: Emily Buchan, Diana Bull, Sam Harper, Briony Roper.

An amazing afternoon was had by all, including the hugely supportive audience, making the festival a true embodiment of the Langley values.
