Last week at Langley School, pupils, students and staff came together to take part in a fundraising initiative for the charity Bone Cancer Research Trust (BCRT).
To raise money, the Langley School community participated in a ‘dress orange day’, which took place on the same day as our Diversity Games. Pupils and staff donated £2 on the day and adorned orange clothing, facepaint or props.
This charity, which was founded to create more accessible information about bone cancer, was chosen by our Upper Sixth student Rosie B. She started this campaign to honour our bus driver Colin, who unfortunately passed away in early April this year. Colin was an incredible part of our Langley community and ensured the safety and happiness of pupils at the school.
