Langley Shooting Experience Event

During the half-term break, the Langley Senior School grounds were still busy as we hosted an exciting Shooting Experience Day, organized in collaboration with Lt Colonel Christopher Cooper and Lt Cdr Matt Holmes. The event attracted not only students but also members of the local community, providing a unique opportunity for both new and experienced shooters to come together for a day filled with learning and friendly competition.

Participants had the chance to delve into the fundamentals of rifle operation, guided by our expert instructors who organise our Combined Cadet Force (CCF) programme. The day was designed to teach the basics, from the safe handling of firearms to the intricacies of accurate shooting techniques. This educational aspect was particularly beneficial for those involved in the school’s CCF programme or those taking part in our Rifle Shooting enrichment option, allowing them to refine their skills in a supportive environment.

In addition to the informative sessions, the event featured a friendly competition aimed at determining who could score the highest. This added a layer of excitement and camaraderie, as participants showcased their abilities in a spirited yet friendly atmosphere. The competition not only encouraged participants to hone their skills further but also fostered a sense of community among shooters.
