Meet the Team: Adam Sayer, Director of Studies, Head of History and Games Coach (Prep)

Name & Job Title.

Mr Adam Sayer, Director of Studies, Head of History and Games Coach (Prep).

Where did you join Langley from/what was your previous role?

Before joining Langley I taught in the State and Independent sectors in Norfolk and Kent.  I also taught English whilst living in Malaga, Spain.

Tell us a little bit about yourself and your new role at Langley…

I am passionate about seeing our pupils achieve success and make progress in all areas of the curriculum.  In my role as Director of Studies, I am involved with ensuring that the educational provision for the pupils is engaging, stimulating and challenging.  I really enjoyed my own school days, and the opportunities I was given helped shape the person I am today.  I want our pupils to share that excitement about coming to school and the anticipation of what the day ahead will bring.

What have you enjoyed most about your role at Langley?

I have enjoyed playing a more active role in overseeing the teaching and learning aspect of the school, ensuring that our pupils are stretched and challenged in their engaging lessons.

Any hobbies/interests outside of school?

I play hockey for Norwich City Hockey Club where I have been a member for the past 28 years!  I am an avid reader and I can be found with my head inside a book when I’m not teaching or playing hockey!

A fun fact about yourself.

I am a massive Bob Dylan fan and have seen him perform 12 times in the past 18 years!
