Meet the Team: Sam Youngs
Name & Job Title.
Sam Youngs – Director of Digital Services and Administration
Where did you join Langley from/what was your previous role?
Previously I have worked at several schools in East Anglia including Norwich High School for Girls and across Inspiration Trust. I have worked exclusively in schools always looking for ways technology can be used in Education.
Tell us a little bit about yourself and your role at Langley…
I have been here at Langley for two years, over this time we have transformed the digital landscape at the school, and we now have a state-of-the-art network and infrastructure allowing us to have One 2 One devices for Pupils from Year 3. We have a fantastic opportunity to create new educational experiences with the use of technology throughout the school.
What do you enjoy most about your role at Langley?
The teams that we have in our schools who work incredibly hard to ensure that we achieve the best outcomes for our pupils and students are great to work with. Seeing the Pupils and Staff using the technology in new ways is what it is all about.
Any hobbies/interests outside of school?
Cycling, Lego, and eSports. If it involves Bikes, building Lego, or computers, I enjoy getting involved! With cycling, I have taken part in many events, but the best was an overnight 100-mile challenge from Hunstanton to Southwold, seeing both the Sunset and Sunrise.
A fun fact about yourself.
I enjoy visiting new places around the world, you will always find me looking forward to the next adventure. There will not be too many days until the next cruise adventure! New Zealand is my favourite place to be, especially with the fantastic mountain biking.
